#59 My First Digital Layout

Happy Saturday!  I have some exciting news.  A week ago, I was contacted by a company called My Memories to do a review of their software.  I am still playing around with it and will have a complete review.  Also, I will be having a giveaway in a couple of weeks, so STAY TUNE!!

Here is a layout that I did using the My Memories digital scrapbooking software.  It has made putting together layouts so much easier and their kits are very reasonably priced (less than $7)

#58 Autumn Leaves PCC Challenge

It's beginning to look and feel like Autumn.  It's challenge day over at Paper Cutz Challenge.  This week's challenge is to "Turning Over a New Leaf" Make a card, LO or craft project for Fall using LOTS of leaves and any colors you'd like, EXCEPT NO GREEN or BLUE.

For my card, I used the Gently Falling Stamp set from SU! I created my own background paper using Tattered Angels glimmer mist and SU! re-inkers.  I used the Cardz Tv Thankful for You Stamp set.

I used an embossing technique on the leaves background piece.  For this technique, glossy paper is better suited because it's ability to absorb more of the ink.

#57 My Creative Time DT Call

Hello Crafty Friends! Emma over at My Creative Time is  having her first ever DT Call.  I have been following Emma since she was on the My Pink Stamper DT.  When I saw that  Emma was having a DT Call, I decided to create a project for submission.  

I decided to make an interactive card that I seen on YouTube and wanted to try it out.  I think that it came out fantastic.  I used the Two Tags die from SU! to create this image of a present.  I used the PBD Label stamp along with my 1 3/8" circle punch for the tag.  

The present opens up to make some stairs. My card is telling someone "You are Fun, Paradise, and Love".

#56 Save the Tatas

Happy Friday!  Today is challenge day over at Paper Cutz Challenge.  This week's challenge is

"In the Pink" As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so to help promote this worthy cause, let's make a card, LO or craft project for Breast Cancer Awareness month using PINK and any other colors you'd like.


I decided to make a card set to remind some friends to get their Breast Exams.  I have one today.  I am too young for a mammogram, but I am going to get them checked.


On to my project.  I made three easel cards using the Shall We Dance Cricut Cartridge.  Also, I used the Echo Park Be Mine paper collection.  For the sentiments, I used the Pink By Design Breast Wishes. I have video below!

#54 Halloween Card for PCC

TGIF! I am so happy that today is the end of the week.  I have had such an exhausting week.  Today is challenge day over at Paper Cutz Challenge.  This week's challenge is "Stars, Circles and Diamonds, Oh My!" Make a card, LO or craft project for Halloween using stars, circles or diamonds and any colors you'd like.  


For the challenge, I decided to make a card using Stampin' Up! Out on a Limb stamp set.  I must admit I got this idea from Linda's Stamping School.  I love how it turned out.  I hope you enjoy and don't forget to participate in this week's challenge.

#53 Think Pink

I have a project for you today for the Cricut Cardz Challenge on Cardz Tv.  Here is this week's challenge,


“Think Pink!” October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. To help promote this worthy cause, make a card for a friend or a loved one for Breast Cancer Awareness month. It can be a reminder card for self-exams and mammograms, a card congratulating a breast cancer survivor, or a card of encouragement for someone currently going through the trauma of breast cancer. Use any cartridges you'd like and use Pink as your primary color. After you've sent me your card photo and posted it to your blog, make sure you give your card to a friend or loved one!  


For my card, I decided to make my first ever square joy fold card. I used the Sweetheart cricut cartridge for my image.  For the card base, I used a 4.25 x 6.25 and scored at 4.25.  I layered the card base with a 4 x 4 sheet of pattern paper from the Be Mine Collection from Echo Park.  I added another card base layer cut out at 3 x 6 and scored at 3", which was layered with a 2.75" and 2.50" square pieces of pattern paper.  I used dimensionals to pop up the image.  Using my punches, I punched out the scalloped oval and the oval layer.  I stamped the sentiment using Breast Wishes by Pink By Design.  I popped it up using double dimensionals.  

#52 Christmas Wishes

I can't seem to get enough of making Christmas Cards.  I think I am making up for last year.  This card I am submitting to the My Craft Spot DT Call.  I made a standard A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50).  I used the Christmas Carol stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper also from Stampin' Up!  One thing I love about this stamp set is that you can either color it in or leave it as it is, which I did for the card.

#51 Seasons Greetings

Happy Sunday!  Here is a quick post on a card that I did.  I usually don't like to cut out images, but I find myself doing it more and more.  I finally got to use my snowflake ribbon that I got from Michaels last year.

#49 Keeper of the Crows

Happy Friday Everyone!!  I am so glad that the weekend is here.  It's challenge day over at Paper Cutz Challenge.  This week's challenge is "Keeper of the Crows"  Make a card, LO or craft project for Fall using a hand stamped, digital stamped, or Cricut cut image of a scarecrow using Orange, Yellow, Brown, Black, Blue and White ONLY!


For my project, I decided to make a card.  I did not have any images of crows, so I googled scarecrows images and I came across free digital images.  I am not good at coloring with markers, so I colored my image with Prism color pencils and mineral spirit.  I love how it came out.  I used a card base from a pre-scored card pack I got from Hobby Lobby.  I finally got the chance to use the Magic of Oz Graphic 45 paper pack.  For some added embellishment, I used some Recollections Rhinestones.

#48 Another Holiday Card

Well Monday is coming to an end and I hope everyone enjoyed their day.  Today was the premiere of the My Craft Channel.  Leave a comment below and tell me what you think.  I like it, but I thought the shows were going to be longer than a YouTube video.  I did hear some great tips I can use in my scrapbooking.

On to my card.  Here is a card that I did for a workshop a couple of weeks ago.  I had so much fun creating this card.  I have never pleated paper before and decided to give it try.  I hope you are inspired to start cranking out out Christmas cards.

#47 Christmas Card

Happy World Card Making Day! I am excited for this day! I am hoping to get out some cards today after I run my mid-morning/afternoon errands.  The first card I am showing you is one that I did for a workshop shop I had.  I think that it turned out pretty cute.  I am trying to figure out my holiday cards for this year.
